BOLT,5/16X1 7/8 ENG PLATE

5/16 x 1 7/8 inch, 26 TPI CEI engine plate mounting bolt, also known by the older part number F5316.

PN · 82-5316

This is the engine plate bolt, PN 82-5316, sized 5/16 x 1 7/8 inches and threaded 26 TPI CEI. It shows up in the parts book under ENGINE UNIT FITTINGS AND FOOTRESTS, which tells you where it lives: holding the engine mounting plates to the frame, part of the hardware that keeps the powerplant located in the cradle. The older parts book form of this same bolt is F5316, so if you're working from a vintage catalog or an old parts list and see that number, it's the same physical fastener.

These engine plate bolts take a fair bit of load and vibration over the years, so if the one you've got looks stretched, rusted, or the threads are buggered up, it's worth swapping for a fresh one rather than fighting with it. We only show it appearing once in the catalog records we've got, so we don't have a long list of extra fitment notes to pass along beyond what's here.

If you're not sure this is the exact bolt your bike needs, give us a call with your frame or engine plate details and we'll sort out fitment before you order.
