Thackeray (spring) washer
A Thackeray (coiled spring) lock washer used at multiple fastening points across the frame, suspension, exhaust, and footrest assemblies.
The 82-2277 is a Thackeray washer, the coiled spring-type washer that goes under a nut or bolt head to keep it from working loose under vibration. It's a small hardware item, but it shows up across a wide range of assembly points on the bike — the catalog shows it turning up in frame, exhaust, swinging arm and suspension, footrest, chainguard, propstand, and toolkit/pillion footrest fittings, which tells you it's one of those general-purpose fasteners the factory used wherever a joint needed extra hold against loosening.

You'll also see this part under its older alias F2277 in earlier parts books, and later factory records show it carried forward under the number 60-2438. If you're chasing down a part from an older parts list and the number doesn't match what's in stock, this is one to check against.
Because it's used in so many different places on the bike, don't assume every 82-2277 callout is for the same joint — check your own parts book listing for the assembly you're working on before ordering a batch.
