Exhaust rocker box
Exhaust-side rocker box for the T140V/TR7RV top end, housing the exhaust rocker arms on the cylinder head.
This is the exhaust-side rocker box off the top end of the unit-construction engine, part number 71-3669. It sits up on the cylinder head and houses the rocker arms that operate the exhaust valves, taking the up-and-down motion from the pushrods and translating it into valve movement. The catalog places it in the cylinder block and head figures for the T140V and TR7RV, and it appears across catalog entries running from 1974 into 1978.

As a rocker box it's a wear-and-tear housing item as much as a cover — it carries the rocker spindles and needs to seal properly against the head so oil stays where it belongs and doesn't weep out around the joint. If you're replacing one, check the mating surfaces on your head for flatness and make sure the old one isn't cracked or warped before you assume the new part is at fault for a leak.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond what's in the catalog record. If you're not sure whether this matches what's currently on your engine, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
