CAMSHAFT PINION-TRIDENT
Camshaft pinion gear for the Trident triple engine timing chest.
This is a camshaft pinion for the Trident triple. Triumph's parts book lists it plainly as a camshaft gear, and a later catalog title we've seen for the same number describes it as the late-type cam gear for the triple engine. It's a gear-train part, sitting in the timing chest where it meshes with the crankshaft pinion and idler gears to keep valve timing synchronized with crank rotation.
