Exhaust camshaft nut
Left-hand-thread nut that secures the exhaust camshaft pinion onto the camshaft.
The 70-6523 is the exhaust camshaft nut, the piece that holds the camshaft pinion onto the exhaust camshaft on the unit-construction engines. It's a small part but it does an important job keeping that gear locked down where it drives the timing gear train off the crank.

Older parts books list this same nut as E6523, so if you're working from a pre-decimal catalog and see that number, it's the same physical part. Our records show it turning up across engine appearances from 1970 into the late '70s.
This nut carries a left-hand thread, so it's cut and installed backwards from what most people expect on a standard fastener. Worth keeping that in mind when you're pulling the camshaft assembly apart or reassembling it — don't force it the wrong way thinking it's stuck.
