Joint washer
Timing cover joint washer for the contact breaker/ignition coil housing area; later superseded by 71-1462.
This is the joint washer that seals the timing cover where it meets the crankcase, in the area covering the contact breaker and ignition coil. It shows up across timing cover and contact breaker figures in the catalog, so it's part of what keeps that housing sealed against oil weeping out around the points area.

The legacy alias for this one is E5049, and the catalog shows it was later superseded by 71-1462 — so if your parts book lists that newer number, it's the same physical gasket.
It's a simple paper/composite joint washer, the kind of thing worth replacing anytime the timing cover comes off, since reusing an old one rarely seals as well the second time.
