OIL SEAL FOR TELL-TALE
Small oil seal for the tell-tale oil pressure indicator on the oil pump and release valve assembly.
This is a small oil seal that fits with the tell-tale oil pressure indicator, part of the oil pump and release valve assembly on the engine's lower end. The tell-tale is that little plunger or button on the timing cover that pops up to show you've got oil pressure once the engine's running - this seal is what keeps that indicator working without weeping oil around it.

It shows up in the parts book under the oil pump, release valve, and inlet manifold figures, and carries the older E2793 number if you're working from an early parts list. Given what it does and where it sits, it's a part worth having on hand when you're servicing the oil pump or release valve area, since a tired seal here is a common source of a small oil weep that's easy to miss.
We don't have more detail on this one beyond its place in those oil pump and manifold diagrams, so if you're not sure this is the exact seal your engine needs, give the shop a call and we'll confirm before you order.
