FUEL TAP WITH POSITION FLAG (Main tap with Internal Tube) - 1/4 BRITISH PIPE THREAD 19 THREADS/INCH (1/2 INCH OD) Made in UK
Main fuel tap with position flag and internal tube, 1/4 BSP thread, made in the UK.
This is the main fuel tap for the gas tank, the one with the position flag showing whether it's set to on or off. It's a British Pipe Thread fitting, 1/4 BSP, 19 threads per inch, with a 1/2 inch OD, and it's made in the UK. The internal tube on this tap reaches down into the tank so it draws fuel until the tank runs dry on that side, which is the normal job of a main tap as opposed to a reserve tap.

It shows up in our records under the GAS TANKS AND TWINSEAT figure, tied to catalog listings from the late '70s. If you're replacing a leaky or seized petcock on a tank with the BSP thread, this is the one to check against what's currently threaded in there before you order.
Worth noting this is sold as the main tap only — if you need the reserve side too, that's a separate part number, and the two aren't the same tap.
