Cable, junction box to carburetter

Lower control cable running from the junction box to the carburetor on control-cables-equipped Triumphs.

PN · 60-0423
Current factory number 60-0423E — same part, sold under this listing.

This is the cable that runs from the junction box down to the carburetor, part of the throttle control setup on the handlebar-controls side of the bike. The junction box splits the single throttle pull coming down from the twistgrip into the cable (or cables) that actually operate the carb slide, and this is the lower leg of that run.

It shows up in the parts books under the CONTROL CABLES figures, including the American handlebar variants, so it was cataloged across more than one bar configuration. The catalog history on this one runs from the mid-1960s into 1967, and the factory later revised it under the 60-0423E number, which is the same physical part with an updated part number.

If your parts book lists D423 or 60-0423, that's this same cable under its older designation. When ordering, check which control setup your bike has, since the control cables figures cover more than one handlebar arrangement and the routing can differ.
