CHAMPION PLUG CAP, RUBBER
Rubber Champion-style spark plug cap that fits over the plug lead end where it meets the spark plug.
This is the rubber spark plug cap that goes on the end of the plug lead where it meets the spark plug itself, the Champion-style cap that's shown up in the ignition-side figures across Triumph's catalogs from the mid-60s through the mid-70s. It's a small part but it does real work, sealing the connection between the HT lead and the plug so you get a clean spark and don't lose voltage to arcing or road grime.

The legacy number on this one is D262, so if your parts book is from the older era you may see it listed that way — same physical part, just the pre-metric-numbering form. It turns up across multiple wiring and ignition coil figures because it's a wear item that gets replaced independent of the coil or lead itself.
Worth keeping a spare on hand since these caps do crack or lose their grip on the lead over time, especially if they've been sitting out in the heat for years. Cheap to check, easy to swap, no tools needed beyond your hands.
