Split pin
A 5/64 in. x 1 3/8 in. split pin used in the gearbox selector mechanism to retain a pin or shaft.
This is a split pin, the size given as 5/64 inch by 1 3/8 inches. It shows up in the gearbox selector mechanism figure, so it's used somewhere in that part of the gearbox internals to keep a clevis pin, shaft, or similar fastener from working its way out.

Split pins are cheap insurance against a pin backing out under vibration, and a gearbox selector mechanism sees plenty of that. The catalog record ties this one to selector mechanism work across a couple of appearances in the early '60s catalog span, but it doesn't spell out exactly which pin or shaft it secures.
If you're rebuilding a selector mechanism and pull an old split pin, it's worth replacing rather than reusing — once bent open and removed they don't hold as well going back in. Bring your old one or the parts book reference if you're not sure this is the right size for your application.
