BSA Nut for pivot bolt, line 9 (5/8" British Standard Cycle)
5/8 inch BSC nut for the swinging arm pivot bolt at the rear of the frame.
This is the nut that goes on the swinging arm pivot bolt, listed in our records as a 5/8 inch British Standard Cycle thread. It's a small part but it does an important job, clamping the pivot bolt so the rear fork swings freely without working loose over time.

Our catalog shows this nut appearing in the swinging arm, centre stand, and rear brake control figures, which tells you it lives at the back end of the frame where the swinging arm pivots and where the rear brake linkage and centre stand mounting are close by. The catalog rows we have for it span 1969 to 1970.
If you're rebuilding the rear end or just chasing play in the swinging arm, this is worth checking along with the pivot bolt and bushes it works with. Call the shop if you want us to confirm fitment before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
