Bush—brake cable stop
A bush that seats the front brake cable at the conical hub brake plate, keeping the cable pull square.
This is a small bush that fits into the conical front hub setup, doing the job of a stop or ferrule for the front brake cable where it enters the brake plate. It's a simple piece, but if it's worn or missing the cable can flop around at the anchor point instead of pulling square against the brake mechanism.

The part shows up under 37-3867 in the parts book, with an older W3867 form also on record. It appears in the FRONT WHEEL figure, tied to the conical hub front brake setup used across some Triumph and BSA twins and triples in the early '70s.
There's a related ferrule numbered 37-3997 that pairs with this one in the same brake assembly — worth checking both when you're going through the front brake linkage, since one tends to wear out around the same time as the other.
