AXLE ADJUSTER TRIUMPH 500/650 3/4 AXLE - UNF THREAD
UNF-threaded rear wheel axle adjuster for Triumph 500 and 650 twins, used to set chain tension.
This is the rear wheel axle adjuster for Triumph 500 and 650 twins, the part that lets you slide the wheel fore and aft in the swinging arm ends to set chain tension. It's a UNF-threaded adjuster, and it shows up in the parts book under the rear wheel section across catalog listings running from 1964 to 1974. The older legacy number for this same part is W2089, which is the letter-prefix form you'll find in earlier parts books.

On the bike there's one on each side of the rear wheel, working against the end of the axle to push the wheel back as the chain stretches, keeping the axle square in the fork ends while you make the adjustment. This one also carries forward as a factory replacement for the earlier 37-1134 adjuster, so if your parts book lists that older number, this is the current part that fills that slot.
We don't have extensive notes beyond the catalog listing, so if you're not sure this is the right adjuster for your particular rear end setup, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
