Float
An Amal carburetor float, part number 32/041, used to regulate fuel level in the float chamber.
This is a float for an Amal carburetor, listed in the shop's records under part number 32/041. It's a mechanical fuel-level part that rides inside the float chamber, rising and falling with the fuel level to work the needle and shut off fuel supply once the bowl fills. When a float sticks or takes on fuel it stops sealing properly, and you end up with flooding or a carb that won't hold a steady level.
