Norton Connecting Rod Bolt
A connecting rod bolt used to secure the rod cap in the lower engine assembly.
NM.23254 is a connecting rod bolt, one of the fasteners that clamps the connecting rod cap to the rod itself down in the bottom end. It shows up in the crankshaft, connecting rod, piston, camshaft and timing gear section of the parts book, so this is strictly a lower-engine fastener, not anything you'll find near the head or top end.

Our catalog record only shows this bolt appearing across a couple of entries spanning 1971 to 1973, which isn't much to go on for pinning down exact model fitment. If you're rebuilding a bottom end and need to know for certain this is the right bolt for your rod and crank combination, give us a call and we'll confirm before you order.
These bolts see real load in service, so when you're in there for a rebuild it's worth replacing them rather than reusing old ones, but beyond that general practice we don't have more detail on this specific part to pass along.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
