This is the bottom yoke with steering stem, the part that carries the front forks and connects them to the frame's steering head. The stem passes down through the steering head bearings and gets clamped by the top yoke above, so this is the piece that everything up front pivots on.

Our catalog record ties this one to 1970 production, and other catalog listings place it on the BSA A65. It's a BSA part, not a Triumph part, so if you're working on a Triumph front end this isn't your number.
