SLEEVE NUT SPEEDO MOUNT - 2BA THREAD
2BA sleeve nut for mounting the speedometer or tachometer to its bracket.
This is the sleeve nut used to mount the speedometer (and on some bikes the tachometer) to its mounting bracket. It's a small threaded fastener with a 2BA thread, and it turns up in the parts books under the SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER and SPEEDOMETER, TACHOMETER AND TAIL LAMP figures. The older parts-book form of this same number is H1701.

These sleeve nuts wear or strip more often than you'd think, since they get worked on every time the instrument is pulled for service. Given the low cost of the part, it's worth just replacing it rather than fighting with a tired one.
Our catalog record spans appearances from 1964 through 1970. We don't have a specific model tied to it beyond what's in the instrument mounting figures, so if you're matching it to a particular bracket or bike, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
