Cap nut
A cap nut for the top of the telescopic front fork leg, used on 6T, 3TA, and 5TA models.
This is a cap nut used on the telescopic front fork, listed in the fork figures for the 6T and for the 3TA and 5TA models. It carries the older legacy number H1659 in earlier parts books, which is the same physical part as 97-1659 today.

Cap nuts like this one thread onto the top of the fork tube stanchion, closing off the top of the fork leg and giving you a place to grab or seal against. Since it shows up across both the 6T and the 3TA/5TA fork figures, it's a part that gets ordered fairly often when someone's doing fork work on these models.
