Hemispherical washer
A hemispherical (dished) washer used at handlebar mounting and front fork hardware points on Triumph twins.
97-1529 is a hemispherical washer, sometimes called a dished or spherical washer, used in the handlebar mounting and front fork hardware on Triumph twins. Its curved profile lets it seat properly against the mounting rubber or clamp surface even when there's a slight angle involved, which is exactly the job a domed washer does at a pivoting or rubber-cushioned mount point. You'll find it turning up in the parts books under handlebar and control lever sections as well as in the telescopic front fork listings for several model lines, which tells you it's a general-purpose hardware piece Triumph used in more than one spot on the front end.

The older alias for this one is H1529, so if you're working from an early parts book that's the number you'll see instead of 97-1529 - same physical washer either way.
It's a small, inexpensive item, but it's also easy to lose track of when you've got a handlebar mount or fork assembly apart on the bench. Given how many different fork and handlebar figures it shows up in across the catalog, it's worth double-checking exactly which mount you're rebuilding before you order, since the quantity needed depends on the assembly.
