FORK SPRING 60-62 19IN WB
Internal fork spring for pre-unit Triumph front forks, catalogued for 1960-62 19 inch wheelbase models.
This is a fork spring, part number 97-1300, out of the pre-unit era Triumph parts books, catalogued for the '60 to '62 span on the 19 inch wheelbase front end. The catalog listing calls it out as an internal spring for that front fork setup, which fits with how these bikes were built before the later damper-rod fork changes came along.

Fork springs like this one sit down inside each fork leg and do the basic job of holding the front end up and soaking up the bumps before the damping takes over. On these older pre-unit forks the springs are a wearing item - they lose their rate over time and years of use will settle them shorter and softer than when new.
We don't have a lot more detail on file for this one beyond what the catalog states. If you're restoring a pre-unit front end from this period, give us a call with your frame or fork details and we'll confirm this is the right spring before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
