Grommet
A rubber grommet used at various wiring and cable pass-through points on Triumph models, including the nacelle, fenders, tail lamp mount, and seat panels.
This is a small rubber grommet that shows up all over the wiring and cable runs on a Triumph — the parts book has it listed against the tail lamp mount, fenders, the headlamp nacelle, and the twinseat panels, among other spots. Its job is simple: it lines a hole where a wire, cable, or fitting passes through sheet metal so the metal edge doesn't chafe through the insulation or rattle against whatever's threaded through it.

The legacy number on this one is H961, and it's also carried under G86G in some records. Because it turns up in so many different figures across a long catalog run, don't assume the one you pull off the shelf is the exact one for your bike without checking your own parts book — a grommet from the nacelle figure and one from the tail lamp figure may not be the same size hole.
It's a cheap item to keep a few of in the parts drawer, since these tend to perish, split, or go missing over the decades and a proper fitting grommet keeps grief off your wiring.
