This is the right-hand nacelle motif, part number 97-0878, also known by its earlier factory number H878. It's a trim badge that fits into the headlamp nacelle on the front of the bike, the streamlined housing that carries the headlamp and switches on those early '60s Triumphs with the T20-style front end.

The catalog shows this part running from 1960 through 1966 across a number of nacelle and fork-related figures, so it saw plenty of use in period. It was eventually superseded by 97-0877, which is the number you'll find it under if you're working from a later parts book or ordering a current replacement.
If you're restoring a nacelle assembly, motifs like this one usually go in as a pair with a left-hand counterpart, but pull yours to check the shape against what's on your bike before ordering, since nacelle styling changed a bit over the years covered here.
