STEERING DAMPER PLATE
A friction plate from the steering damper assembly on the steering head, part 97-0724.
This is the steering damper plate, part number 97-0724, from the front steering assembly. Steering dampers on these older Triumphs work by clamping friction plates together at the steering head, letting the rider dial in more or less resistance to steering movement, and this plate is one of the components in that stack.
