Cover—L.H.
Left-hand side cover panel for the air cleaner/side panel area, later superseded by 83-7067.
This is the left-hand side panel that covers the air cleaner/battery box area, as listed in the parts book under the AIR CLEANER AND SIDE PANELS section. It's a cosmetic cover piece, not a structural or mechanical part, and it sits over the airbox on the left side of the bike.

Our catalog shows this number appearing across a narrow window of production, and the factory later replaced it with a newer part number, 83-7067. If you're working from an older parts book and see 83-4809 listed, that's the same panel — just look for it under the newer number when sourcing today.
Because this is specifically the L.H. (left-hand) side cover, make sure you're not mixing it up with the right-hand equivalent when ordering — the catalog description calls out the side explicitly.
