BSA Sidecover (left-hand)
Left-hand sidecover panel from the SIDECOVERS and AIR CLEANER figures, cataloged for 1969-1970 machines.
This is the left-hand sidecover, PN 82-9724, listed in the SIDECOVERS and AIR CLEANER sections of the parts book for 1969-1970 machines. A sidecover like this one bolts to the frame under the seat and tucks in behind the carburetor and air filter area, covering the frame tubes and battery or tool tray on that side of the bike.

The catalog entry is brief and doesn't spell out beyond the figure titles exactly what it fits, so don't assume it interchanges across model years without checking. Left-hand and right-hand sidecovers are different parts, so make sure you're ordering the correct side for your bike.
If you've got the panel in hand, compare the mounting tabs and the cutout for the air cleaner against what you're replacing before you commit to the order. Call the shop if you want us to confirm fitment first.
