Knee grip—L.H.
Left-hand knee grip that mounts to the side of the gas tank for rider grip.
This is the left-hand knee grip that mounts to the side of the gas tank. Its job is simple - it gives the rider's knee something to grip against the tank besides bare paint, which keeps you from sliding around under acceleration or braking. On these tanks the grips are handed, so this one is specifically the L.H. side piece, not interchangeable side to side.

The older parts book number for this one was F9372, same physical part just under the earlier reference. Our catalog shows it turning up in gas tank figures across a stretch of years in the late '60s and into the mid '70s.
If you're replacing knee grips, check the condition of the tank surface underneath and the fasteners or adhesive that hold it before ordering - and give us a call if you're not sure which side you need or how it mounts on your particular tank.
