This is a small spring used in mounting a capacitor (what folks over here usually call a condenser) as part of the electrical setup. It shows up in the electrical equipment section of the parts book, which is where you'd expect it - these little springs hold the capacitor snug against its mounting point so it doesn't rattle loose under vibration.

The manufacturer code on file for this one says Amal, but Amal makes carburetor parts, not electrical bits, so that tag is almost certainly a mix-up in our records. Treat this as a general electrical component rather than a carb part.

Our catalog only shows this part turning up once, tied to 1969, so we don't have a lot of cross-reference history to lean on. If you're trying to match this to a specific bike, give us a call and we'll confirm fitment before you order.
