Retainer Cover to body
A starlock retainer washer used to secure covers and panels to the body across several Triumph assemblies.
This is a small starlock washer, the kind that snaps over a bolt or stud and grips the shank so a cover or panel can't rattle loose. Triumph's parts books call it a retainer, cover to body, and it turns up across a wide spread of figures over the years — air cleaner and side panel assemblies, telescopic front forks, petrol tank fittings, mudguards, and chainguard work. It's the same physical part whether your book lists it under the old F8245 form or the later 21-0575 number, since 21-0575 is what this one was superseded by.

Because it shows up on so many different figures, the exact spot it's holding down on your machine depends on which assembly you're working on — fork leg, tank mount, side panel, or guard. If you're chasing one of these down for a specific job, it helps to know which figure you found it listed under so we can confirm you're grabbing the right one.
These are cheap to keep a few of in the parts drawer since they tend to distort or lose their grip once you pull them off, and reusing a tired one is asking for the cover to work loose again.
