HOSE,BREATHER-OIL/TANK 3/8 x 42in long

3/8 inch by 42 inch oil tank breather hose, PN 82-7353 (formerly F7353).

PN · 82-7353
Supersedes 83-1613 — earlier factory number for this part.

This is the breather hose off the oil tank, 3/8 inch bore and 42 inches long. It shows up in the oil tank figures alongside the oil pipes and breather pipes, so it's part of the plumbing that vents the tank rather than carries pressurized oil. The catalog carries it under 82-7353, with F7353 as the earlier factory number for the same piece.

On these unit-construction Triumphs the oil tank needs somewhere for air and vapor to escape as oil level and temperature change, and this hose is that path. It's a soft rubber line, and after decades in service these tend to crack, harden, or split at the ends where they clamp on, so if yours has been on the bike a long while it's worth pulling and checking.

Catalog entries for this one run from 1967 to 1970. If you're not sure yours matches up, give the shop a call and we'll confirm before you order.
