BSA Nut — kickstart crank cotter
The nut that secures the kickstart cotter pin, holding the kickstart lever tight on its crank.
75-0053 is the nut that clamps the kickstart cotter pin into the kickstart lever, holding the whole crank-and-lever assembly tight on its pinch pin. It shows up in the catalog under the outer timing cover, kickstart, and footchange figure, which is where the kickstart mechanism lives on the right side of the engine.

It is a small, easy to overlook part, but if it works loose the cotter pin can shift and the kickstart lever will start to slop around or slip when you go to start the bike. Worth checking that it is snugged up whenever you have the kickstart lever off.
Our catalog record on this one is brief - it only turns up in a couple of listings from the early 1970s - so if you're matching it against a parts book from a different year, give us a call and we'll confirm it's the right one before you order.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
