Finned points cover for the timing case, covering the ignition contact breaker housing.
This is the finned points cover, part number 71-7159, also seen in older records under 72-0026. The catalog places it right at the timing cover and contact breaker area, where it caps off the housing that holds the ignition points.

The finning matches the styling of the later engine covers Triumph used on the unit-construction twins, giving the cover a bit more surface detail than the plain earlier caps. It shows up in the catalog appearing alongside the timing cover and contact breaker figure as well as a carburetor figure for the TR7RV, so it's worth double-checking against your own parts book or bringing your old cover in before ordering.
