Connector pipe
Manifold connector/balance pipe joining the intake tracts on unit twins, cataloged 1974-1978.
This is the connector pipe that ties the two intake manifolds together, listed in the manifold and tappets section of the parts book. On twins with a balance pipe setup, this is the piece that links the left and right intake tracts so both cylinders draw from a shared air path rather than working independently.

Catalog listings for this part run from 1974 to 1978. It's a small, straightforward piece of hardware, but it does sit right at the manifold joint, so a tired or cracked one can cause an air leak that throws off carb tuning even when the carbs themselves are fine.
This number was later superseded by 70-4792, so if you're chasing parts against an older book listing 71-3577 and the shop quotes you 70-4792 instead, that's the same physical piece under the current number.
