PIPE,VENT 5/16 31.5IN LNG
Rubber crankcase vent/breather hose, 5/16 in. bore by about 31.5 in. long, used on oil-in-frame Triumph twins.
71-2349 is a vent pipe, roughly 31.5 inches long and 5/16 inch in bore, used to carry crankcase breathing off the engine on oil-in-frame Triumph twins. It shows up in the parts books under CHAINCASE AND CHAINS, GEARBOX INNER COVER AND SELECTORS, and FRAME sections, which tells you this hose snakes from the engine breather connection through the frame area rather than staying tucked in one spot. The older parts-book number for this same piece is E12349.

This is a rubber hose, and rubber hoses on bikes this age tend to be cracked, hardened, or collapsed internally by the time anyone's asking about them, even if they look okay from the outside. If yours has been sitting since the Carter administration, it's worth pulling and inspecting rather than assuming it still flows.
Catalog appearances put this part across oil-in-frame production from the early '70s into the late '70s. Confirm against your own parts book or give us a call if you want to be sure this is the right length and bore for your particular machine.
