This is the vent pipe for the oil tank, listed in our records under the frame and battery carrier area of the parts book. It's a small tube whose job is to let the oil reservoir breathe, keeping air moving in and out of the tank as oil level and pressure change so you don't get pressure buildup or a vacuum lock in the system.
