BUSHING CAM LIPPED TS UK - Replaces 70-1479

A lipped cam bushing for the crankcase, factory-superseded from the earlier 70-1479 part number.

PN · 71-0286
Supersedes 70-1479 — earlier factory number for this part.
Available in 3 versions:

71-0286 is a lipped cam bushing that lives in the crankcase, supporting one of the camshafts as it rotates. The lip is there to locate the bushing correctly in its bore rather than letting it float, which matters for keeping the cam running true and the oil feed doing its job at that journal.

This part number replaced the earlier 70-1479 in the factory numbering, so if your parts book or an old invoice shows 70-1479, that is the same physical bushing under its older number. It shows up across crankcase listings from the early 1970s through the end of the decade, so it has some spread across engine variants of that era.

Because this is a bearing surface fitted into the case, it is worth having someone check bore condition and clearances before install rather than just dropping a new bushing in and hoping. If you're not sure which cam position or engine spec you're working with, give us a call and we'll help confirm before you order.
