Tachometer gearbox (E5758 body)—L.H. thread
Left-hand thread tachometer drive gearbox (E5758 body), listed 1970-1971, later superseded by 71-7011.
This is the tachometer drive gearbox, the small angled housing that takes drive off the engine and sends it up the cable to spin the tach head on the top of the tank. The catalog lists this one as the E5758 body and notes a left-hand thread on it, so keep that in mind when you're pulling the cable or the drive off - don't assume it comes apart the same way as a standard right-hand fitting.

It shows up in the SPEEDOMETER AND TACHOMETER section of the parts books, which is where you'd expect a drive gearbox like this to live, since it's really part of the instrument drive train rather than the engine itself. Our records tie it to catalog appearances across 1970 and 1971.
This number was superseded by 71-7011 later on, so if you're chasing this part under a different number in a newer parts book, that's the one to look for. It also appears under the earlier E9331 form if you're working from an older book.
