LOCKWASHER,CRANK SHAFT BSA - REPLACES 68-0325
Lock tab washer for the BSA crankshaft/rotor assembly, PN 70-8043, later superseded by 70-8224.
This is a lock tab washer for the crankshaft on BSA unit-construction machines, listed in our records as 70-8043 and replacing an earlier number, 68-0325. It's also come through under the legacy code I34, and the factory later carried it forward as 70-8224, so if your parts book shows any of these numbers you're looking at the same piece.

A lock washer like this sits behind a nut on the crankshaft end and has a tab or tabs that bend over to keep that nut from working loose. It's a small, cheap-to-replace item that a lot of home mechanics reuse when they shouldn't - once the tab's been bent and straightened a few times it's not doing its job anymore.
We don't have much more detail on file for this one beyond what's above. If you're not sure this is the exact washer your crankshaft nut needs, give us a call and we'll square away the fitment before you order.
Sorry if we got something wrong here. If you think this information isn't correct, .
