Oil control ring
Triumph oil control ring (PN 70-6839, alias E6839) for the piston/barrel assembly, scrapes oil off the cylinder wall on the way down.
This is a Triumph oil control ring, cataloged under 70-6839 with the older E6839 number showing up in the same books. It's a piston ring, specifically the one that scrapes excess oil off the cylinder wall and helps return it to the sump instead of letting it get pulled up into the combustion chamber.

It shows up in the parts book under the CYLINDER HEAD, BARREL AND CRANKSHAFT figure, so it lives down in the bottom end area with the piston and barrel assembly rather than up top with the valves. Our catalog record ties it to appearances in 1970 and 1971 listings.
If you're rebuilding a top end or bottom end and pulling pistons, this is worth checking against your bore size and piston set before ordering. Call the shop if you want us to confirm what else you'll need alongside it.
We've never carried this one. Tell us what you're after and we'll go looking — you'll get a price and photos before you commit to anything.
