Flywheel

Flywheel from the crankshaft and connecting rod assembly on a Triumph engine, also listed under the older E5783 number.

PN · 70-5783

70-5783 is the flywheel that shows up in the crankshaft and connecting rod assembly on the engine's bottom end. It's a Triumph part, and the catalog carries it under the older E5783 form as well, so if you're working from an early parts book you may see that number instead of 70-5783.

The flywheel bolts into the crank assembly and does the job flywheels do on any twin: it evens out the power pulses between strokes so the engine doesn't feel like it's lugging or surging at low revs. It's a heavy, precision-machined piece, and it lives down in the crankcase where you won't see it without splitting the cases.

Our record for this one only ties it to a single catalog appearance from 1965, so we don't have a broader model range to point to. Call the shop and we'll confirm fitment against your specific engine before you order.
