Stud (3 in. O.A.)
Gearbox inner cover stud, 3 in. overall length, for Triumph twin gearboxes.
This is a gearbox stud, 3 inches overall length, listed under part number 70-4535 (the older parts books show it as E4535). It shows up in the gearbox inner cover and selector figures, so it's one of the studs that holds the inner cover onto the gearbox shell and gives the outer cover something to bolt to.

Studs like this take a beating from heat cycles and years of cover swaps, and the threads can gall or pull out of the case if someone's cranked down on them wrong in the past. If you're rebuilding a gearbox or fighting an oil leak at the inner cover, it's worth pulling the old studs and checking them before you button things back up.
Catalog records place this one across gearbox inner cover work from the mid to late 1960s. If you're not sure this is the right stud for the cover you're holding, bring it by or give us a call before you order.
