Rubber grommet
Rubber grommet sealing the stator (alternator) lead wires where they pass through the primary chaincase.
This is the rubber grommet that seals the hole where the stator (alternator) leads pass out of the primary chaincase, part number 70-4144, also seen in the books as 43-99772 or E4144. It fits over the wire guide sleeve and keeps the leads from chafing on bare metal while stopping primary chaincase oil from working its way out along the wires.

It shows up across a wide span of catalog years and appears in the electrical, chaincase, and timing cover figures, since the stator wiring runs from the alternator through the chaincase area up toward the timing side. It's a small part but an important one to have sealing properly - a torn or hardened grommet is a common source of a slow oil weep at the chaincase.
Cheap enough to keep a spare in the parts drawer, and worth checking whenever the chaincase is opened up for other work. If the old one looks cracked, glazed, or won't seat back down over the sleeve, replace it while you're in there.
