A hollow locating dowel used in the crankcase assembly on certain Triumph engines.

This is a hollow dowel that shows up in the crankcase figure for Triumph engines, listed under part number 70-4121 (the older parts books show it as E4121). Dowels like this one are used to keep the crankcase halves or related engine components correctly located relative to each other when they're bolted together.
