Inlet camshaft bush
Inlet camshaft bush for the crankcase of the unit-twin engine, also cataloged as E3824.
This is the inlet camshaft bush that lives in the crankcase of the small unit-twin engine, supporting the inlet camshaft where it rides in the case. On these engines the camshaft bushes take the wear over time as the cam turns against them, and a worn bush shows up as excess play in the cam that can throw off cam timing and oil control at that journal.

Part number 70-3824 shows up in the crankcase section of the parts books, and it's also cataloged under the earlier E3824 form and appears cross-referenced as AA123 in our records. It's a small part but an important one to check when you have the crankcase split for a rebuild.
If you're going through the bottom end on a 350 or 500 unit twin from this catalog's mid-to-late-60s span, it's worth pulling this bush and checking clearance rather than assuming it's fine. Give us a call if you're not sure which bush your crankcase takes.
