DISC,BREATHER STATIONARY - Replaces GS 87
Stationary breather disc for the Triumph crankcase timed-breather assembly, works with the rotary disc to time crankcase pressure release.
The 70-3822 is the stationary breather disc used in the crankcase timed-breather setup on Triumph twins. It sits alongside the rotary breather disc, staying put while the rotary disc turns with the engine, and together they time the release of crankcase pressure as the engine runs. It's a small, easy to overlook part, but a worn or damaged stationary disc can throw off the timed breathing action and lead to oil weeping past seals and gaskets it shouldn't.

This one carries the alias E3822 from the older parts book, so if you're working from an early catalog and see that number, it's the same physical piece as 70-3822. Catalog records show it across appearances from 1964 to 1968, and it's listed in the crankcase section alongside the rotary disc it works against.
It also shows as a factory replacement for GS 87, so if an older parts reference or a bike with earlier documentation turns up that number, this is the part that replaced it. If you're not sure whether your crankcase uses this style of timed breather, check your own parts book or give the shop a call before ordering.
