Rocker (right exhaust, left inlet)
Cylinder head rocker arm operating the right exhaust valve and left inlet valve, also listed under the earlier E1457 number.
70-1457 is a rocker arm from the cylinder head, the one that operates the right-side exhaust valve and the left-side inlet valve. It's part of the valve gear on top of the cylinder head, riding on its rocker shaft and pushing down on the valve stem each time the pushrod comes up. The old parts book number for this one is E1457, so if you're working from an early book and see that stamped or listed, it's the same physical part.

This rocker arm shows up across a wide run of Triumph cylinder head figures - 6T, T110, TR6, TR6R, TR6C, T120, T120R, T140V, and TR7RV all list it in their cylinder block and head sections, spanning catalog years from 1960 into 1978. That's a long production run for this part, so it's been fitted across a lot of different head castings over the years, but which exact rocker goes with which head on your particular engine is worth checking before you order rather than assuming from the model name alone.
Rocker arms wear at two points - where they ride on the shaft bushing and where the tip contacts the valve stem - so if you're chasing valve gear noise or doing a head rebuild, it's worth pulling these and checking both wear points rather than just replacing what looks obviously bad.
