Cable-revolution counter drive

Drive cable for the revolution counter (tachometer), linking the drive to the instrument head.

PN · 68-9121

68-9121 is the drive cable that runs power to the revolution counter, what most folks these days just call a tachometer. It's listed under electrical equipment and instruments in the parts book, so it's the flexible cable linking the drive off the engine to the tach head itself, letting the needle track engine speed.

Our catalog only shows this one appearing in 1973, so we don't have a wider run of years to point to. If your bike doesn't match up to that, give us a call and we can talk through what you've got before you order.

These cables see a lot of flexing and vibration over the years, so if yours is fraying or the tach reads erratic or not at all, the cable itself is worth checking before you start chasing the instrument or the drive gearbox.
