SHOCK BOLT 3/8 CEI 3 1/8
A 3/8 CEI shock mounting bolt, 3-1/8 in. under the head, for the rear shock absorber eye.
This is a 3/8 CEI shock bolt, part number 68-4240, sized 3-1/8 inches under the head. It's the bolt that runs through the rear shock absorber eye where it mounts to the frame or swingarm lug, holding the damper in place at that pivot point.

CEI thread is the British cycle standard you'll find on a lot of these older Triumph fasteners, so don't try to chase this one down at a generic hardware store with a coarse or fine SAE bolt and expect it to thread in clean. Get the length and thread right and it drops straight into the shock mounting eye.
