SLUDGE TUBE PLUG 11TPI
Threaded plug, 11 TPI, that seals the crankshaft sludge trap tube after cleaning.
This is the sludge tube plug, threaded 11 TPI, that seals the end of the crankshaft sludge trap. The sludge trap is the tube pressed into the big-end journal that catches debris flung off by centrifugal force as the crank spins, keeping grit out of the connecting rod bearings. The plug closes off that tube once the trap is cleaned or serviced.

Based on our records this part is associated with BSA big twin and single crankshafts rather than Triumph engines, despite how it's filed here. If you're working on a BSA crank and pulling the sludge trap for cleaning, this is the plug that goes back in afterward. Given how little detail we carry on this one, give us a call to confirm it matches your particular crankshaft before you order.
The alternate number V33 refers to the same physical part.
