Float spindle (99-0513)
Float spindle for the Amal Concentric carburetor, the pivot pin the float rides on inside the float chamber.
This is the float spindle for the Amal Concentric carburetor, the small pin that the float pivots on inside the float chamber. It's the part that lets the float ride up and down with fuel level so the needle valve can shut off fuel flow at the right point. Amal's own number for this one is 99-0513, which shows up in our records as the older factory form of the current 622/071 number, and it also carries the alias 622/191.

You'll find this spindle called out across a wide range of Amal Concentric carburetor figures in the catalog, spanning many Triumph model listings from the late '60s into the mid-'70s, since the same Concentric carb was fitted across a lot of the lineup during that stretch. It's a simple, cheap-to-overlook part, but a worn or bent float spindle will let the float bind or sit crooked, which throws off your fuel level and can cause flooding or hesitation.
If you're rebuilding a Concentric carb and the float isn't seating evenly or the bike's running rich for no obvious reason, this pin is worth checking along with the float itself and the needle valve. Worth keeping a spare on hand since it's a part that's easy to lose track of during a strip-down.
